Key Responsibilities

• Measure, cut, and install metal stud framework in accordance with technical drawings.
• Measure, cut, and install plasterboard/drywall panels in accordance with technical drawings.

• Fix boards to metal or timber stud frameworks.

• Configure and install suspended metal framed ceilings including slabbing same
• Configure and install suspended tile and grid ceiling systems.
• Configure and install concealed system suspended tile and grid ceiling systems.

• Apply jointing, taping, and finishing techniques where required.

• Follow all site health and safety procedures and company policies.

• Collaborate with site supervisors and other trades to ensure smooth and efficient project delivery.

Skills & Experience

• Proven experience working as a Drywall Fixer or similar role within the construction or fit-out industry.

• Strong understanding of plasterboard systems, metal stud frameworks, and ceiling installations.

• Ability to interpret and work from technical drawings.

• Excellent attention to detail and quality of workmanship.

• Good communication and teamwork skills.

• Ability to work efficiently to meet project deadlines.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 -10 years’ proven experience as a drywall fixer / plasterboard installer.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
• Strong practical skills with attention to detail and finish.
• Ability to work efficiently both independently and in a team.
• Basic English preferred (but not mandatory if working under a bilingual supervisor).
